Mini Samosa: Your Evening Snack Delight

Mini Samosa is the refreshing variant of Samosa for you. It is one of the best appetizer or starter you could have for any occasion or festival. It is a quick recipe to make. Try at your place.

Mini Samosa is a recipe from North India. It is prepared by using flour, spices and roasted peanuts. It is a very easy snack recipe for the events such as anniversaries, birthday parties, kitty parties, picnic, etc. It is an ideal food item to have in an evening snack.

Ingredients for Mini Samosa:

  • flour-500 gm
  • salt-2 pinches
  • red chilli powder-1 tbsp
  • coriander powder-2 tbsp
  • powdered asafoetida-2 pinches
  • vegetable oil-1 tsp
  • ghee-5 tbsp
  • roasted peanuts-500 gm
  • garam masala powder-1 tsp
  • powdered raw mango-2 tbsp
  • cumin seeds-1 tsp

How to prepare Mini Samosa:

Step 1) Pour two tablespoon oil in a heavy vessel. Drop the peanuts & saute with low flame until the peanuts are fragrant & crisp. Cool the crush & peanuts coarsely.

Step 2) Heat one tablespoon oil in a vessel. Add the cumin seeds & asafoetida. Let the seeds splutter.

Step 3) Drop garam masala, salt, coriander powder, raw mango powder & chili powder. Saute for thirty secs & drop the crushed peanuts. Toss it properly & detach from fire. Put it besides to cool.

Step 4) Sieve the flour, and drop salt. Include melted clarified butter & combine it very finely. Drop small amount of water & knead to a stiff dough. Put the dough beside for twenty mins.

Step 5) Knead the 2 for a while & divide the dough in fifteen balls of equal proportion. Roll out every ball to a disc of four inches of diameter. Cut it in two equal halves.

Step 6) Wet the edges with a slight water along the diameter. Bring the 2 ends together to overlap. Join & press together to form a cone.

Step 7) Put a tablespoon of stuffing in the cone & seal from above. Fill every cone & set besides. Heat plenty oil in a vessel. Place the samosas in hot oil, deep fry with low to moderate until light brown.

Step 8) Drain & put it besides to cool. Store it in airtight containers.
