B.A. which stands for Bachelor of Arts can be opting for, by students of all streams. It is a common degree which can be pursued by any of the student irrespective of any of the streams, be it science, commerce or arts. BA courses are open for all students. There are many courses which are meant only for particular streams as in medical courses are only for the science students. Even the commerce courses are sometimes applicable for students of any stream after their 12 boards’ examination. B.A. is a very basic degree for graduation for students after they complete their school. It is a bachelor’s degree which is usually awarded for undergraduate programs or courses. It takes 3-4 years for the completion of this particular degree.
There are different streams who can apply for BA courses in different colleges:
Science students
All the BA colleges in India have no such stream criterion for the students after their 12th standard. Even if you are a science student, you can easily apply for BA courses. BA courses are the basic courses of graduation; it can be applied by science students as well. There are students who had taken science during the high school but have found that they are weak in science or have interest more in humanities and for them, it is a wonderful course. No other course has such liberty of streams for students.
Humanities students
The students who had Arts in their eleven and twelfth have the greatest privilege because the degree itself is named” Bachelor of Arts” which means it concentrates and revolves around the subjects of humanities which is also known as “Arts”. The students who had already studied in the Arts stream would not face any kind of difficulty as there is nothing unusual in the B.A. colleges in India. The books, chapters and stories and everything are similar to what you have studied in class 12 but in a more elaborate way. There is a lot of writing work which has to be well taken care of while appearing for B.A. examinations. As the Arts people are already habituated of learning and writing more than the other streams, they do not fail to cop up with the syllabus and technique of studies. The top B.A. colleges in Dehradun as well take students from all the tree streams and give them the opportunity to do their higher studies taking Arts.
Commerce students
The students of the commerce stream may feel that the syllabus and studying pattern a bit lengthy and huge but eventually it would not take much time to cop up. Even the students from other streams join colleges taking up B.A. and do not face any such difficulty. Similarly, for the commerce students as well, it is quite easy. All the B.A colleges in India are allowed the students of other streams to try their capabilities of arts by taking B.A.
Therefore, more or less all the streams can take admission into B.A. colleges without facing any problem.
