Street lights have always been an integral part of road safety. Not only in terms of preventing accidents but also for preventing cases like theft, robbery and other such big crimes that generally search for dark spots to take place. But in India, most of the times and at most of the places these street lights don’t work reason being they are expensive, conventional and requires efficient utilization of power. But the inefficient and unreliable supply of power continues to hamper the effective working of street lighting.

Electricity being non-renewable source of energy will continue to vanish from the earth, so it becomes our moral responsibility to conserve electricity and to get one step closer to it technology has invented products using solar energy replacing electricity. The controller is one of the main element being used by solar street light manufacturers as it decides when to switch on and switch off the lights and charging. They also decide the brightness of the light.Pole and interconnecting cables are part of fixtures that are being used by solar street light manufacturers in India. The battery box, LED Lights and solar panel are placed on the top of the pole and consume 7.2 watts of input power.
