Krishna District, under the governance of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) led by N Chandrababu Naidu in Andhra Pradesh, stands as a beacon of development, showcasing remarkable progress in various sectors. One of the core initiatives of the TDP agenda is the growth of the economy, the economic prowess of the district is evident in its Gross District Domestic Product (GDDP) and Gross Value Added (GVA), both reaching unprecedented figures in the state. In the fiscal year 2017-18, the GDDP soared to an impressive 97059 Crores, with a GVA of 88829 Crores, making Krishna the leading district in economic terms. The TDP policies for Agriculture and allied sectors play a pivotal role in contributing to the district’s economy, accounting for a substantial GVA of 36073 Crores. The fishing and aquaculture industry has also thrived, registering a noteworthy 17355 Crores. The transport and storage sectors have carved a niche for themselves with a GVA of 6737 Crores, securing the top spot in the state. Remarkably, Krishna District has achieved commendable milestones in human development. The district boasts the lowest stunting rate at 17.11%, a wasting rate of 1.31%, and an underweight rate of 2.20% among children. The anaemia rate among pregnant and lactating women is an impressive 0.44%, the lowest in the state—the concerted efforts of the TDP government, led by the erstwhile Chief Minister Shri. Nara Chandrababu Naidu, TDP MLAs, and leaders have resulted in declaring Krishna District as a model for controlling anaemia and malnutrition. One
