Among them, Mr Akhilesh Srivastava, CGM (IT & Highway operations) of NHAI, is unarguably one of the best officers.
NHAI, which is embarked on the journey to modernize the National Highways, is using different technologies to their maximum extents. MrAkhilesh Srivastava, head of highway operations department of NHAI, is leaving no chance of using the advanced technologies to meet the societal demands.
In order to execute the developmental projects at a fast pace, the Highway Operations division, under the leadership of Mr Srivastava, has started deploying drones at several locations to constantly monitor the progress and pace of works.
At times, Highways got infamous for bad reasons like accidents. To deal effectively with such situations, the Highway Operations division led by Mr Srivastava is leveraging Advance Emergency Traffic Incident Management system. This system is a really helpful mechanism that aids in curtailing the number of fatalities.
The FASTag system, which is also referred as Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) system, is changing the way commuter’s journey experience on National Highways. The man behind the successful implementation of the FASTag system is none other than Mr Akhilesh Srivastava.
There are also other projects taking good shape under the astute leadership of Mr Akhilesh Srivastava. For implementing and execution of tech-related and tech-enabled projects, he is often referred to as a Tech-savvy bureaucrat.
