Since their foundation Schlenker has fully specialized in the production of high-quality clamping tools. When Dipl. Ing. Josef Meißner took over the company in 1986, he developed the first bar feed collet for loading lathes in close cooperation with loading magazine manufacturers – a product that has become essential. After more than 70 years of company history the company continues this tradition and produces bar feed collets in a wide range of versions for all well-known loading magazines manufacturers, such as BREUNING, CUCCHI, FMB, IEMCA, INDEX-TRAUB and LNS.
The task of the bar feed collets are to transport the raw material from the bar loader into the machine. The material to be processed is clamped in the bar feed collets. They are mounted on the rotating inserts, which are attached to the feed rod. Depending on the manufacturer, the bar feed collets are connected to the rotating inserts via a cross pin, three set screws or an internal thread.
Beyond the standard: special-purpose solutions from Schlenker clamping tools
Due to many years of experience and the proximity to the customers, Schlenker has continuously developed a range of bar feed collets. This enables the company to produce in addition to standard bar feed collets for round, hexagon and square materials, also special profiles that are individually adapted in shape and tension to the bar material. Another variant is the crown bar feed collet. They are especially developed for profile material. The special crown shape simplifies the threading of the material and allows the full utilization of the channel, thus larger wrench sizes can be clamped. It is recommended not to chamfer the bar material.

All product options are available for SHK, TURBO, IEMCA, CAV and more versions. Suitable to the bar feed collets, Schlenker offers rotating inserts in his product range to absorb the rotation of the bar material.
They also manufacture inside clamping sleeves to feed drilled bar or tube material. The tension can be increased or reduced according to requirements. It is also possible to produce inside clamping sleeves fully sealed to prevent the entry of coolants into the loading magazine.
