Lanyards are a must for any event or function that has restricted entry and requires an organizer-issued identity pass to be displayed at all times during the event.
Before you go about ordering your lanyard, you need to know what type of lanyard would best suit your requirement. The types of lanyards available are:
Breakaway lanyards – they have a clip at the end that easily breaks off if the lanyard is pulled or gets hooked onto something. This negates the chances of the user getting accidentally injured whilst wearing the lanyard.
Designer lanyards – a lanyard can be custom-made to your exact specifications.
Beaded lanyards – much in demand with the ladies because they also act as a fashion accessory.
Double-ended lanyards – lanyards with two clips at the end.
Pocket lanyards – has a pouch attached to it. The pouch in turn can hold the id, purse, mobile phone, etc.
Tubular lanyards – These are lanyards mostly made of synthetic material but shaped into a tube so there are no rough edges making them incredibly comfortable.
Full-color lanyards – a made-to-match lanyard as per artwork provided by the customer.
Custom Polyester Lanyards – lanyards made of strong polyester material with text and/or logos embroidered into the polyester material.
Length: The average lanyard is usually 33 to 34 inches long which converts into about 900mm
Imprint Methods:
How the printing is done makes a lot of difference to the sharpness of the logo and text. Also, the materials and styles that you can select will depend on the imprint method you select. There are three main methods for imprinting onto lanyards: dye sublimation, screen printing, and embroidery.
Sublimated Lanyard: Sublimation is a process in which a design is transferred onto the fabric using heat and pressure. Your logo or design will be fused with the fabric and when you run your hand over the lanyard, it will feel smooth. This imprint method is perfect for full-color or more complicated designs.
Screen Printed Lanyard: Screen printing is the most common decorating method for lanyards. When you run your finger over the printed lanyard, you’ll be able to feel the design because it is printed on top of the material.
Embroidered Lanyard: Embroidered imprints are stitched onto the material using a high-speed, computer-controlled embroidery machine. This option is excellent for messages that are text only. It’s important to note that with embroidered lanyards, the back will be reversed and may appear unfinished compared to the front.
Attachments: Include the J-hook, bulldog clip, split ring, lobster claw and the breakaway clips. Best place to buy your lanyards is https://www.irelandlanyards.com.
