MBA Entrance Exam – SNAP , NMAT , CMAT

CAT, MAT, XAT are always considered as the most prominent entrance exam for MBA program. But do you have any idea, that in India, there are more than 50 entrance exams are available for students? SNAP, NMAT and GMAT are also such exams which have been appeared by lakhs of students in every academic year. Though, CAT-XAT-CMAT is always on top of the list because finest management colleges in India accept such scores.

But the interesting fact is, some exams are held at National Level, some at regional and some at Institute level also.

Keeping such things in mind, sharing the information about such entrance exams which also helps students for getting admission to the finest colleges of India.

1 ) Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP):- SNAP entrance exam is conducted by Symbiosis International University, which is also a National-Level Management entrance exam. Total 15 institutes under Symbiosis International University and many other MBA colleges used SNAP scores for admission.

Registration happens till the month of November and exam occurred in December. This test is a computer-based exam held for 120 Min., consists of these segments :

General English
Quantitative, Data Sufficiency & Data Interpretation
General Awareness
Analytical & Logical Reasoning

2) NMAT by GMAC:- NMAT stands for NMIMS Management Aptitude Test. This is also one of the main MBA entrance tests. NMAT has been acquired by GMAC and now its rebranded as NMAT by GMAC. This is a very student-friendly test. Here candidates can attempt a total three times for the exam and out of which best scores will be used for admission. This exam consists of 120 MCQs which needs to be solved under 120 Minutes. NMAT covers three sections:

Language Skills
Quantitative Skills
Logical Reasoning

3) Common Management admission test (CMAT):- This second largest management entrance exam is conducted by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) which is attempted by around 1.5 lakh students. This test is considered as a new addition to the list of MBA exams. First took place n 2012, this has become the most popular exams of the country. 500+ MBA institutes across the country accept exam scores.

It is a computer-based exam with a duration of 180 minutes. This test happens in the month of January and consists of main sections:-

Quantitative technique
Logical reasoning
Language comprehension
General Awareness
