2 historical hills in Makkah

Though there are several hills in the land of Makkah two hills known as Safa and Marwah have great significance for Muslims. Hills have a great event which was taken place from Hajrah (AS) the wife of Prophet Ibrahim (AS). No doubt the Abrahamic family faced horror tests and got success in each of them.

When Allah (SWT) ordered Prophet Ibrahim (AS) to leave his family on his own fate, so Prophet Ibrahim (AS) fulfilled the Divine order and left his family behind. Yet, families from all corner of the world recall the tough trial of Hajrah (AS). If you also want to visit the Kaabah with family, so family umrah packages 2020 will be the best umrah experience.

After some days, Hajar and her son met to end the storage food. Her son Ismael (AS) cried bitterly when he felt the extreme thirst in the deserted valley. Hajrah (AS) neither could leave her baby alone nor could see him crying for water. Eventually, she had to take both steps in that regard such as saving her child from beasts and searching water as well. There were two hills nearby her which are also known as Safa and Marwa hills. She ran towards Safa to search the water for her child but when nothing found there she went ahead towards nearby hill Marwa. But meanwhile came back towards Safa to see her child lest beast should harm her child. While the running from Safa to Marwa and Marwa to Safa she made seven circles in search of water. Thus, Allah (SWT) so much liked the test of Hajar (AS) that it had become the compulsory ritual of either Hajj or Umrah.

And in return, Allah (SWT) reward the well of water known as Zamzam which was sprinkled at the place of Ismael (Her baby). Zamzam is actually an Arabic word which means “stop the water”. When she came back towards her baby she found immense water nearby him and she told water to Zamzam due to reducing the quantity. In this way, Allah (SWT) changed the deserted sanctuary into a blessed place. Today millions of pilgrims drink the Zamzam water by visiting Makkah through Hajj umrah packages in order to fulfill the Divine commandment.

After that Allah (SWT) ordered Ibrahim (AS) to build His house which must be holy from Shirk. “Verily! We offered the place, to Abraham, of the (Blessed) House, (saying): “Companion not anything (in worship) with Me; and purify My House for those who compass it round, or stand up, or bow, or face down themselves (therein in prayer). (Surah Al-Hajj, 26).
And then, both Prophets (as) constructed tha Kaabah and said:

“Our Lord! Make this place safe and sound, and preserve us from idolatry belief. My Lord! They have led many people astray. Thus, whoever follows my teachings, certainly he is of me. And whoever does not follow me, still you are Merciful. I settled some of my descendants near to the Holy House, so that they may establish proper worship.

“O, my Lord! Thus encourage those who are towards them and provide with Your immense blessing that they may be thankful. Our Lord! You know what we have inwardly and outwardly. Nothing is hidden in the whole universe before You. All the praises are of God who has granted me with two sons. Lo! My Lord! listens to each bit of prayer. My Lord! Make me and my descendants establish regular prayer and accept it. Our Lord! Pardon me, my parents, and my followers on the Day of Resurrection when virtues would be on weighing scale”.
